The coast that runs on the border between France and Italy is one of the most fascinating and elegant in Europe and offers wonderful views of the typical Mediterranean atmosphere. In fact, the Ligurian coast and the Côte d'Azur are united by an intense blue sea, lush vegetation and small calm villages that give life to magical places that have become for over centuries among the most sought-after locations for elegant holidays in full relaxation Mediterranean style. We therefore want to recommend a fascinating itinerary between Portofino and St. Tropez to drive along this enchanting coast and discover its beauties for a perfect summer weekend!

Portofino

The pearl of the Gulf of Tigullio and of the entire Ligurian coast, Portofino, enclosed in a splendid green bay, is synonymous with Italian elegance and refinement! Let yourself be conquered by the lively atmosphere of the Piazzetta, by the crystal clear water of Baia Cannone and by the view from Castello Brown and then continue along the winding panoramic road towards Camogli!

Camogli

Camogli is a lively and hospitable village with a characteristic view of the sea that conquers visitors with its natural beauties, traditional buildings and the flavors of the Ligurian culinary tradition. From both Camogli and Portofino it is then possible to reach San Fruttuoso by sea, a wonderful medieval abbey set in a lush bay between the mountains and the sea!

Menton

Menton is the perfect mix between France and Italy and is located right on the border between the two countries even if politically belonging to France. The historic center is a succession of low and colorful buildings that give life to narrow streets and narrow alleys that seem to come from the expert hand of a painter. This town overlooks the sea and has been shaped over time by its ancient history and by the spirit of travelers who, since the end of the 19th century, have begun to visit it as a destination for their summer stays.

Montecarlo

Montecarlo needs no introduction and embodies the quintessence of the elegance of the Côte d'Azur with its large boutiques, the casino, the port, the gardens and its exclusive clubs.

A stop here along this itinerary between Italy and France is absolutely necessary!

Cannes

The fame of its promenade precedes the city; La Croisette is in fact the most famous place in Canne where the biggest international stars meet once a year for the iconic film festival! However, Cannes also means a truly picturesque ancient village dotted with artisan shops and places to savor French cuisine!

Antibes

Not far from Cannes, Antibes is one of the most popular towns on the Côte d'Azur but it keeps its historic French charm unbroken! The large marina of Antibes, the fortress and the old town are just some of its beauties! In the alleys and squares of the center you can breathe a quiet atmosphere and it is a pleasure to stroll among cafes and art galleries.

St. Tropez

St. Tropez is one of the icons of the Mediterranean that has become synonymous with exclusivity thanks to the stars who have made it famous around the world since the 1960s. It is located on a wonderful area of coast and its streets are a succession of excellent restaurants and boutiques as well as small local food and craft shops. A small on the road between Italy and the French Riviera has to end here, in the most fashionable village of the French Riviera!
