The Val D’Orcia is tinged with red

Those who know me know that food and wine for me and Real Luxury (www.realluxury.it) plays a major role in our business as a Luxury Tour Operator ( https://realluxury.it/ferrari-luxury-tours ).

Doing research and finding new gastronomic excellences to be able to show to our customers is one of the things I like most about this job, let's say it's a sort of challenge for me

Podere Casale ( https://podereilcasale.com/it/ ) was born as the request of a Ferrari tour in the Val d'Orcia by a couple of Canadian friends / customers from Toronto.

Like every year, the challenge was to find a new location with passion, professionalism, hospitality and passion.

So I started looking for 0 km restaurants in Pienza area and "tac!" after a while I ended up on the web page of "Podere Il Casale" (https://podereilcasale.com/it/il-bio-da-sempre/)

I immediately realized that the place was an organic farm, on top of a hill with a breathtaking view and that all the cooked products were organic at km 0 revisited in a modern way.

A farm that offered you everything they produced at home: from hand-rolled pasta to garden salad, from wine without sulphites to olive oil, the Cinta Senese pig, unpasteurized milk with caramel as a dessert, obviously the "King" (pecorino cheese) being at Pienza could not miss! In fact it was present in different types, with the particularity that you could eat the peel! Yes, you read that right ..

So I immediately told Andrea that we had to go and try this place praying that the dirt road to get there was not impossible for the Ferraris and Lamborghinis ... the doubt that the front of the Ferrari F8 (https://www.real-luxury.com/ rental-car-of-luxury-and-sports / spider-car / 22-convertible / rent-ferrari-f8-tribute-spider / 62) spider could scratch on the ground terrified me, I could already imagine Andrea's reaction☺

But once we have drove about 4 km of dirt road, we came across the figure of the legendary Sandra (owner of the farm) who welcomed us with a warm "Hello" Welcome, we were waiting for you "

Sandra a solar woman, with a beautiful smile and full of passion, the kind of passion that she has managed to transmit over the years together with her husband to her children.

Once seated at the table, Sandra with a family photo album explains to us their entire history and how they got there, in those lands that once did not have the luster that today, above all thanks to tourism, have been invaded and enhanced.

Sandra: “You must know that my husband and I arrived here with a 2 CV! There was nothing but few sheeps and semi-abandoned farmhouses .. "

Today "Il Casale" offers experiences such as: cooking class, truffle hunting, visits + cheese tastings and catering, the company has grown a lot, it is keen to specify Sandra but without ever forgetting the fundamental characteristics of their philosophy of life and work:

- natural

- ethical / moral

The location, the taste, the warm welcome and the superlative Misha (son of Sandra-Manager of the restaurant) made us fall in love and give life to this collaboration that sees the red” of our ferraris (https://realluxury.it/noleggio- luxury-and-sports-cars / cabriolet) paint the hills of the Val D'Orcia
